Lauren Criswell

I’m Lauren Criswell. I’m a freelance Artist and Graphic Designer based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S.

I graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2019, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Visual Communication Design. My background began in the fine arts of painting and drawing, developing later into an interest for design as well. 

 

My personal art and design style encompasses a structural work approach shaped by an eye for detail and aesthetics. My art is a reflection of my beliefs: to connect with nature is to connect with ourselves. To notice the details of nature is a part of appreciating it, connecting with it, and better relating to ourselves through it. I draw most inspiration from the intricacies of earth that often go unnoticed: the organic patterns and abstract beauty that can be found in rocks, minerals, crystals, plants, and more.
